Subject to the MIUR’s updates, it is possible to access Italian universities upon obtaining the American High School Diploma, provided the following three requirements are met:
- The Diploma is obtained at the end of at least 12 years of schooling
- Obtain at least 3 different AP Advanced Placements exams with a score from 3 to 5 in subjects related to the university course
- Achieve the Diploma over a 2-year course
For further information on the recognition of foreign qualifications, you can consult UniversItaly. For information on the documents and their format for enrollment, it is useful to contact the Italian ENIC-NARIC italiano (CIMEA) .
International universities, based in Italy, follow their own admission criteria.
